A Very Silly Travel Companion
Molasses Creek's Very Silly Travel Companion represents a departure (well . . . perhaps a goofy sojourn) into the humorous side of Molasses Creek. Most Molasses Creek albums offer a gentle balance of seriousness with lighthearted smirks, tears with laughter. The finely crafted work of art in your depserate little hands offers no such pretense. No . . . instead it offers 100% nutty skits, songs, and banter that will leave snooty art critics shaking their disbelieving heads amongst motherly mutterings of "Well, I hope they got it out of their systems." HA! FAT CHANCE!'-- From the liner notes
Special guests:
Wes Lassiter -- Banjo
Emma and Molly Lovejoy -- Kids voices
Paddy Carrot -- Drums
The Split Pea Cousins -- Horns
Arugula Joe -- Bass and guitar

Professor Claudius Earwig here with the Institute for Serious Art. After careful product evaluation, it has fallen under my jurisdiction to publish a public warning that a certain musical group by the name of Molasses Creek has just released an “album” under the title of “Molasses Creek’s Very Silly Travel Companion.” I feel I must warn adults and children alike, that listening to such a product may cause a certain disregard of those proud standards heralded by ISA and all respectably serious folk. I urge all children to take any means necessary to prevent their parents from listening to this product. Our lab results consistently show that repeated exposure to the album will lead to immature behavior, the loosening of ties, snickering, and the desire to execute unfulfilled silliness. I now return to my in-home production of “Plastic Fruit Theater.” Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Dr. Claudius Earwig
Founder and President of the Institute for Serious Art
